Meet Allison, a Class of 2016 senior at Saint Francis High School. Her passion as a gymnast at an early age has carried her through high school and today, she is not only a school varsity gymnast, but is also a coach at the gym she calls her second family. I’ve met my fair share of dancers and gymnast in my time and I can share that there is always one common thread I see in all of them, passion. Both are very demanding sports and the resilience I see in these athletes is something I deeply admire. Along with that gorgeous head of curls, Miss Allison!
To top it all off, I love the maturity and groundedness they often have in everything they do. So, when Allison and her mom, Kari contacted me and said they appreciate my organization and planning in creating THE senior portrait experience, I am honored and humbled that in a world where we are often rush through our experiences, there are still families who wish to continue providing the best for their children and understanding this final stage in their childhood are just too precious to simply check off the list as the many to-dos for the current senior in high school. I mean, how else are you ever gonna remember those many goofy facial expressions, sense of silliness and kinder animal spirit?!
Q: What will you miss most about Senior year?
A: Friends and having a car to go out with friends.
Q: What scares you the most about next year after high school?
A: Making new friends and finding my place amongst a new environment.
Q: What constitutes as a “perfect day” for you?
A: Sleeping in, having breakfast at Aldo’s in Santa Cruz and going to the beach, which is right there.
Q: Favorite movie that you best relate to and your favorite line from it?
A: “Stick It”. I love the whole movie, but if I had to pick just one line it would be, ” If you like falling on your back or face, then gymnastics is for you!”. (LOL)
With a passion for the art of senior photography and a heart for capturing the personality, charm and strength of individuals, it is my goal to provide parents with tangible memories of one of the most precious moments in life…the final stage in the journey of raising your child from birth to high school graduation. Miles stones are the prefect excuse to seek out a professional photographer. Being able to capture and preserve this special milestone is priceless. CYW Photography specializes in high school seniors and is located in Northern California. All senior sessions are shot on location, mostly in the beautiful Bay Area surroundings, but I also travel worldwide for various projects. So, please follow me on Facebook where I often post about recent or upcoming sessions. You can also see where I get most of my inspiration by following me on Pinterest. Find me on Instagram where you can see sneak peeks of my most recent sessions and if you love Twitter find me there, I may occasionally tweet something really special! Whether you are looking to celebrate the moving on of your high school senior with a senior portrait photographer or anything in-between, I am confident in my ability to provide you with tangible memories that will last you a lifetime. So, when you’re ready, shoot me message and let me know how I can help you.
